Fashionable Sun Protection: The K.I.S.S. Theory
Life is busy, and life is complicated, especially if you have children and/or aging parents taking priority over self-care. When it comes to skincare and SPF clothing options, we like to keep things simple.
These are the basic things we recommend having on hand to protect your skin fashionably:
- Simple Summer Skin Care
- Lightweight Clothing
- Fabulous Hats
SKIN CARE
Remember the epic Monte Carlo Open Tennis trip we took a few years back?
My friends, Caroline and Casey, who were on that trip with me, recently launched an exciting gentle French and Korean-inspired skincare line, CeCe Freade.

CeCe Freade combines plant-based ingredients to calm, repair, and support graceful aging. The Face Wash, Serum, and Cream are ALL. YOU. NEED.
We were advised to stop tearing off layers of your face and to try the Japanese method of nourishing the skin instead. There is also a Protective Tonic Spray for beach, travel, and city life, which we find refreshing and supportive.
All of these come in medium-size bottles, which are great for traveling and for trying the products for the first time without a big commitment or cost.
Meagan's True Confession: I have been putting Estrogen Cream on my face to plump and firm, a sneaky little trick I learned from fellow moms on the Upper East Side.

Dermatologist Dr. Elliot Weiss, our friend and fellow tennis aficionado, sells Elta MD sunscreen at his office in Southampton. We find it to be the only sunscreen we are truly happy with, bar none. It goes on clear, and it is not sticky or stinky.
